Dr. Farouk Jega is the project lead and responsible for donor relations and leading advocacy and engagement with higher level government partners and stakeholders. Farouk is an obstetrician/ gynecologist and public health physician with more than 15 years’ progressive experience in program management and evaluation, and is presently the Country Director for Nigeria at Pathfinder International where he oversees a complex multimillion dollar portfolio of projects in Maternal and Newborn Health, Family Planning and HIV/AIDS, and Advocacy. Farouk has a Master’s degree in Community and Public Health, and has research interests in Quality Improvement in Health Systems and adolescent reproductive health. He is a member of several strategy committees within Federal and States Ministries of Health and its agencies, including the National Reproductive Health Technical Working Group and the Nigeria Independent Accountability Mechanism.
