Bao-Tram (BT) supports AFP communications and the Advocacy and Accountability subcommittee for the 2018 International Conference on Family Planning. Prior to AFP, BT worked as an Associate Program Officer at Seattle Foundation, guiding philanthropic investments to elevate the civic voice of underrepresented communities. BT served on the boards of APACEvotes and Summer Search Seattle, and steering committee of Seattle City Club’s 2017 Civic Health Index. She completed her BA in sociology at Whitman College and MPH at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she was elected Student Assembly Vice-President of Honors & Awards and became the first graduate of the public health advocacy certificate program. BT is a Gates Millennium Scholar and Center for Women & Democracy award recipient.
